Simons Foundation cuts AP touch points from 16 to 4 with SAP Concur

The Simons Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing scientific research, faced the challenge of streamlining its inefficient, paper-based accounts payable process. To improve accuracy and reduce manual work, they turned to vendor SAP Concur to implement its Concur Invoice solution alongside its existing Concur Expense and Travel services.

SAP Concur implemented a cloud-based electronic invoice system with automated workflows, which drastically reduced manual processing. The results were highly successful: manual touch points per invoice dropped from 16 to 4, the department saved approximately 100 hours per month, and 98% of suppliers were converted to electronic ACH payments, enabling the foundation to handle significant growth without adding AP staff.
