A SAP Concur Case Study
Catholic Health Partners, a nonprofit regional health system with 24 hospitals, 15 senior facilities in Ohio and two in Kentucky (32,000 employees), struggled with a decentralized, spreadsheet-based expense reimbursement process that was slow, error-prone and costly. Each facility handled expenses differently, causing incomplete reports, paper rework and little visibility into where money was being spent—processing costs ran more than $25 per check and could exceed $50,000 per month.
CHP implemented Concur Expense, Expense Pay, Service Administration and Business Intelligence to centralize and automate expense management. The change eliminated roughly 2,500 manual checks a month, cut processing time and costs dramatically, and delivered better reporting and policy control (including automated mileage/allowance tracking). Ongoing Service Administration and BI support reduced administrative burden and improved rollout of new features while increasing accountability across the system.
