Dornier MedTech, a medical device manufacturer with U.S. operations in Keenesaw, Georgia and about 120 employees (many in the field), needed a transparent, automated way to manage travel-and-expense data and comply with the Sunshine Act’s complex reporting requirements. Their prior Excel-based, paper-heavy process consumed large amounts of AP time and left managers without timely visibility into employee spending.

Dornier implemented Concur Expense and Concur for Mobile (with plans for Concur Travel and Invoice), using a pilot rollout and webinars and integrating a third-party data provider to meet Sunshine Act deadlines. Within about three weeks they were live, cutting expense-processing time by more than 50%, saving $190,000 in the first year, improving reimbursement speed and storage costs, providing full expense transparency, and helping attract and retain tech-savvy employees.
