Harnessing the Power of an ERP Connector to Close Gaps in Core Financial Processes

CSRS Inc., a 129-employee architectural and engineering firm focused on disaster recovery, program management and real estate development, struggled with a cumbersome expense process. Employees often worked on multiple projects per week, had trouble capturing receipts and had to manually download and upload credit card data into Deltek Vision; approvals were handled outside the ERP, causing delayed and incomplete expense reporting.

CSRS deployed SAP Concur Expense together with Full Sail Partners’ Blackbox Connector for Deltek Vision to enable mobile receipt capture and automatic, bi-directional syncing of employee, project and expense data via a no-code, Azure-hosted connector. The solution drove companywide adoption, increased monthly expense submissions from about 60–80 to 110–130, sped approvals and payments, improved invoice retention and accelerated client billing while eliminating the need for managers to hunt down late reports.
