Gonzaga University protects a couple hundred students with SAP Concur during COVID-19

Gonzaga University, a global institution, faced a significant duty of care challenge at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. They needed to quickly locate and repatriate hundreds of students who were studying abroad in Europe during spring break, as well as ensure the safety of their faculty in Florence, Italy. The university utilized SAP Concur to manage this crisis.

SAP Concur provided the visibility needed to know exactly where all students and staff were located. This allowed Gonzaga to contact students directly and assist them in returning home to the U.S. without returning to the Florence campus, which was at high risk. Faculty on the ground were able to pack and ship all student belongings back to the States before also safely departing. The solution from SAP Concur was critical in preventing anyone from being stranded and in efficiently managing a complex logistical operation.
