Concur Travel & Expense Allows Kofax to Capture Savings

Kofax, a leading provider of smart process applications, faced a time-consuming, manual travel and expense process that relied on spreadsheets, paper receipts and two full-time expense processors. Employees struggled to know what to include on reports and depended on a company booking desk, creating inefficiency and limited visibility into travel spend.

Kofax implemented Concur Expense and later Concur Travel, which automated itinerary imports, reporting and controls. Adoption reached 79% in the first month, the booking desk became obsolete, and headcount for expense processing was reduced (U.S. processors cut from two to one; two roles reallocated in Switzerland). Employees now spend half the time preparing reports, and with real-time reporting and policy flags Kofax reduced travel spend by 15% in two months and about 20% overall.
