BIC Group standardises its international expense management

BIC Group, a global manufacturer of stationery, lighters and shavers with sales of €1.627 billion (2020) and a presence in 160 countries, needed to standardise and digitise its fragmented international expense processes. Diverse local tax and accounting rules, inconsistent tools and limited visibility made it hard to enforce policy, control spend and streamline finance operations across the group.

Working with ARAGO Consulting, BIC designed a governance-led pre‑project and deployed SAP Concur (Expense, Mobile, ExpenseIt, Intelligence) with a core, adaptable accounting model. The solution delivered ERP and HR integrations, a harmonised chart of accounts across 29 countries so far, faster processing, better compliance and reporting, high user satisfaction and pilots for certified digital receipts — enabling smoother finance operations and repeatable global rollouts.
