A SAP Commerce Cloud Case Study
Vodafone, a global provider of digital products and services operating across 27 markets, faced complex, highly localised tax processes, inconsistent checks, and poor vendor/customer data accuracy that led to manual re‑work and inefficiency. To standardise VAT/GST processing and improve data quality and daily operations, Vodafone implemented SAP Tax Compliance (ACS 1.3 embedded in SAP S/4HANA 1909) with support from SAP Commerce Cloud as the vendor.
SAP Commerce Cloud delivered the SAP Tax Compliance solution in a nine‑month phase one that onboarded 97 entities and deployed 11 Fiori apps to improve user experience, working alongside SAP MaxAttention and system integrators. The implementation standardized and automated repetitive tasks for a 50‑person shared services tax team, improved master data quality and transaction transparency, sped up corrections and reporting, and set the stage for phase two enhancements (ML, predictive analytics and an S/4HANA upgrade).
