Invacare, a leading manufacturer and distributor of medical and mobility equipment, faced an aging, fragmented e-commerce landscape after growth through acquisitions and needed a more intuitive, omnichannel buying experience for customers with special needs. To modernize operations and create a single source of truth, Invacare chose SAP Commerce Cloud alongside SAP S/4HANA and related SAP technologies to replace manual workarounds and support immersive, configurable product offerings for dealers and end users.

Using SAP Commerce Cloud plus SAP CPQ, SAP Integration Suite and SAP BTP, Invacare built a connected digital commerce platform (with Birlasoft as implementation partner) that supports over 15,000 wheelchair configurations, mobile sizing via photo, and unified quote-to-order data. The SAP Commerce Cloud solution improved quote accuracy, cut quote-to-order timelines from months to weeks, shaved weeks off wheelchair measurement processes, gave sales teams instant access to customer history, and drove a 3x sales uplift within four weeks of the Canada launch.
