Galp, a Lisbon-based energy company operating across 11 countries, faced a fragmented, heavily customized ERP landscape and siloed processes that limited its ability to deliver tailored, responsive customer experiences. Using SAP Commerce Cloud and the broader SAP suite, Galp established integrated end-to-end workflows that streamlined B2B procurement, delivered real-time B2C point-of-sale insights, and enabled interoperable industry solutions across fuels, retail, and marketing. The SAP Commerce Cloud implementation helped boost straight-through invoice processing to roughly 75%, increase back-office user productivity (76% reporting improvements), create a single view of B2B customer financials, and lay the foundation for future data-driven initiatives like inventory optimization and new retail models.
