Energy and IT Services Giant Powers Up for a Future of Innovation

VINCI Energies, a €12.6 billion energy and IT services group with 77,000 employees across 1,800 business units in 53 countries, struggled to track and control thousands of long-term projects because each acquisition used different ERPs and reporting methods. To create one “single source of truth,” VINCI Energies worked with SAP Commerce Cloud to standardize systems and deploy a common digital platform and ERP across its businesses.

SAP Commerce Cloud’s solution delivered a global digital platform used by roughly 30,000 users for purchasing, sales, project tracking and cost management, plus mobile apps, digitized invoice processing and machine-learning reconciliation pilots (60% accuracy to date, projected 70–75%). The implementation improved financial tracking and visibility (real-time analytics with 15 key indicators and drill-down to single postings), reduced IT and training costs, and is expected to save thousands of worker days while helping prevent costly financial discrepancies.
