AVL List Integrated Online Shop Simplifies Logistics and Shortens Delivery Times

AVL List, a global leader in mobility development, simulation and testing with more than 11,000 employees, faced the challenge of making it easier for customers to identify and order from over 9,000 spare parts, improving online shop performance, and streamlining logistics after moving their ERP to the cloud. To address this, they implemented SAP Commerce Cloud (with partner e1 Business Solutions GmbH) to replace the legacy shop and integrate directly with their ERP.

Using SAP Commerce Cloud, AVL automated pricing, authorization rules and inventory visibility so customer-specific prices and role-based approvals appear in the shop and orders placed by 3 p.m. ship the same day. The solution processes 92,000 spare parts annually, supports 15,000 registered users, and delivered a 10x performance improvement versus the old system, while also serving as an information portal and service channel for customers and employees.
