United States Postal Service mail contractor improves safety and operational efficiency of its 60 vehicle fleet using Samsara’s complete fleet platform

Fames Transport is a family-owned USPS mail contractor operating 60 semi-trucks across 20 regions in the western U.S. Facing a clunky GPS system, paper timecards, and safety and reporting gaps that risked contracts and wasted admin time, the company needed a modern, all-in-one fleet solution to improve safety, accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Fames deployed Samsara’s platform—VG34 gateways for second-by-second live tracking and CM11 dashcams—plus automated electronic timecards. The changes brought faster, more accurate location data and video evidence for incidents, a jump in driver safety scores (one driver rose from 79 to 97; company-wide safety improved about 18%), roughly $4,000 in daily payroll savings from reduced timecard errors, and leaner administrative workflows.
