Tumino’s Towing - Customer Case Study

Tumino’s Towing is a New Jersey–based heavy towing and emergency recovery company founded in 1981 that now operates more than 100 vehicles from five locations across the Eastern Seaboard. As the ELD Hours-of-Service mandate approached, Tumino’s struggled with a nonfunctional GPS/ELD solution from a previous provider, leaving the fleet at risk of noncompliance and operational disruption.

In July 2018 Tumino’s installed Samsara vehicle gateways and dual-facing dash cams to achieve ELD compliance, real-time GPS visibility, and recorded footage for driver exoneration. The solution delivered compliance, reduced fraudulent claims and speeding incidents, improved driver coaching and accountability, enabled accurate hourly billing and faster dispatching, and increased overall operational efficiency.
