The City of New Orleans transforms their emergency response with real-time visibility

The City of New Orleans, including New Orleans EMS, needed one easy-to-use solution to track vehicles and assets across departments and improve emergency response visibility. Before Samsara, the city struggled to locate equipment and understand where its fleet was being used, creating challenges for accountability and operations.

Samsara implemented Vehicle Gateways, AI Dash Cams, and Asset Tags across the city’s fleet, including about 2,700 assets across 40 departments. With Samsara, the city gained real-time visibility into asset location and usage, improved fleet transparency, and became better able to respond to audits and information requests, helping city teams serve residents more effectively.
