SouthWest Water is a private water‑supply and wastewater treatment company serving over half a million residential and business customers across six U.S. states. To ensure reliable service and quickly detect alarms, overflows, pressure loss, and other faults—rather than relying on public reports or driving between sites—SouthWest needed remote, real‑time visibility into its distributed systems, starting with an Oregon facility.

SouthWest implemented Samsara’s cloud‑based SCADA using Industrial Gateways with built‑in LTE to monitor pump run status, levels, pressure, and flow across 11 sites. Real‑time dashboards and configurable alarms for pump faults and abnormal levels/pressures increased responsiveness, reduced site visits, helped prevent service interruptions and environmental or financial damage, and gave operators greater peace of mind.
