How Campbell Union High School District Keeps Students Connected with Samsara

Campbell Union High School District (CUHSD) in San Jose, serving more than 8,300 students, faced a sudden remote‑learning crisis when COVID‑19 closures revealed that over 10% of students lacked reliable computers or WiFi. With many families unable to travel to distribution sites, the district needed a fast way to get devices and connectivity directly to students’ homes.

CUHSD set up a sanitization and refurbishing station for roughly 400 Chromebooks and used its vans plus Samsara’s route‑optimization and fleet tools to plan efficient deliveries and dispatch technicians quickly. In the first eight weeks they delivered more than 650 Chromebooks and 250 WiFi hotspots, reduced drive time, enabled near‑instant dispatches, and used Samsara activity reports to validate the program’s impact and keep students connected.
