American Cementing, a cementing services company, was struggling with manual and inefficient administrative paperwork across its field and back-office operations. To improve efficiency, it turned to Samsara, using the Samsara Driver App, vehicle gateways, and document management tools to digitize workflows and connect its operations.
Samsara implemented paperless document capture, custom DVIRs, and integrations with FLEETCOR Comdata and American Cementing’s payroll software to streamline fuel management and automate payroll. The results included saving around 13,000 sheets of paper per year, reducing labor, shipping, and fuel costs by about $60,000 annually, and cutting over 1,600 back-office hours per year, with the payroll integration set up in just 1.5 weeks.
