Contra Costa ARC is a nonprofit serving adults and children with developmental disabilities across 12 sites, with more than 350 staff and 100 customers. IT coordinator Jackson Riggen struggled to track PCs and other assets spread across multiple networks; an initial free tool (SpiceWorks) couldn’t scan across sites or import assets in bulk, so inventory was time-consuming, error-prone and had to fit a tight budget.

The agency deployed SAManage’s on-demand IT management service, which uses background agents to report inventory centrally and integrates help-desk and upcoming ITIL-based service management features. The change eliminated manual audits, saved an estimated 33 hours plus travel time per inventory, improved accuracy and asset detail, and delivered better visibility and vendor responsiveness.
