Samsonite Centralizes Product Information to Gain Operational Efficiency

Samsonite, a 110‑year‑old leader in luggage and travel accessories, faced fragmented and error‑prone product information — outdated spreadsheets, multiple dimension sets, and poor cross‑functional communication — which created daily operational headaches for product marketing manager Meghan O’Keefe and inconsistent experiences across wholesale partner sites.

To fix this, Samsonite centralized its product data in the Salsify PXM platform, importing and standardizing content (growing from 100 to nearly 38,000 products), implementing automated weekly feeds, and onboarding ~200 internal users. The result: faster edits, fewer input errors, consistent product pages and downloadable assets for retail partners, improved operational efficiency and market share, and a roadmap to leverage enhanced content.
