Petco, a leading pet-care retailer offering food, supplies, grooming, training and veterinary services, needed richer product pages to help pet parents make confident purchases. The retailer lacked the in-house bandwidth to scale enhanced (rich/below-the-fold) content across its many vendor partners, so it sought a third-party solution to standardize and expand content capabilities.
Working with Salsify, Petco executed a phased rollout—optimizing existing content, onboarding smaller brands, and launching enhanced content for its private labels—with close implementation support and training. The effort grew enhanced-content SKUs from about 600 to over 2,500, delivered quarter‑over‑quarter conversion gains, established best-practice standards and vendor resources, and enabled better tracking to drive further optimization.
