ASICS, the 70‑year‑old athletic brand, tasked its ASICS Digital team with rapidly scaling direct‑to‑consumer ecommerce. By 2017 the company was managing more than 500,000 unique products across Europe, Asia, North America and Australia using many disparate systems, and needed a single global ecommerce architecture that improved product‑data accuracy and governance while still allowing regional localization.

ASICS implemented Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Salsify as a centralized PIM, using a MuleSoft‑based custom integration to handle extensive custom fields and complex workflows. Over three years the rollout supported 67 channels and 1.26 million digital assets, grew Salsify users from 15 to 200+, and launched all four major regions on a unified commerce ecosystem—delivering centralized control with regional customization and enabling next‑stage personalization.
