How State Street Global Advisors Drove $65M+ in Allocations With Drift

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), the investment management arm of State Street Corporation, was facing a shift away from traditional in-person selling as clients increasingly wanted digital, self-directed ways to research, ask questions, and transact. To support that transformation during the COVID-19 era, SSGA looked for a chat solution and chose Salesloft’s Drift product to help improve customer engagement, sales efficiency, and time to revenue.

Salesloft’s Drift was rolled out in a “crawl-walk-run” pilot on SSGA’s UK SPDRs website, using bots and playbooks to qualify visitors, deflect irrelevant traffic, and route qualified leads to sales. The results were strong: SSGA exceeded its $15M six-month trade goal in half the time and generated $65M+ in allocations from Drift leads over 18 months, while also reaching 2X trade-goal attainment by Q4 and gaining better visibility into buyer behavior and target accounts.
