ScaleX.ai faced falling connection rates for B2B outreach as many prospects shifted to working from home; calling office switchboards and direct desk lines was proving ineffective. To test a better approach, ScaleX.ai used SalesIntel.io data to run a controlled experiment dialing 100+ VP- and C-level targets via switchboard, direct dial and mobile numbers to compare dial-to-connect effectiveness.
The experiment showed mobile numbers sourced from SalesIntel delivered far higher contact rates — a 10:1 dial-to-connect ratio for mobile versus 59:1 for switchboards and 73:1 for direct dials — making mobile outreach roughly 5–7X more effective. By using SalesIntel’s mobile data (48M+ numbers), ScaleX.ai gained materially more conversations, improving SDR productivity and reducing wasted dials with clear potential to increase pipeline and revenue.
