Release the Hounds is a Vancouver dog-walking company bought in 2011 by James Woller and Craig Pollack that needed a scalable model to grow beyond a paper-based operation. Relying on handwritten timetables and spreadsheets made it hard for walkers to see up-to-date schedules, track client and pet details, and often left routes underfilled.
The company implemented Salesforce to create a single, mobile-accessible hub for customers, scheduling and billing, with Chatter profiles for each dog containing veterinary, medical and behavioral notes. Using real-time schedule updates and targeted weekly email offers to fill open spots, Release the Hounds doubled daily walks in under two years, simplified administration, improved customer connections, and positioned itself for expansion across North America.
