The Inter‑American Development Bank (IDB) provides loans, grants, and technical support across Latin America and the Caribbean to improve infrastructure, health, education, and reduce poverty. Facing intensified pressures from climate change, shifting social priorities like gender equality, and the need for data‑driven policy advice, the Bank needed a way to capture institutional knowledge and deliver actionable insights across teams and country partners.
IDB built a cloud‑based relationship management platform on Salesforce—using Marketing Cloud for outreach, Service Cloud for 360° opportunity management, Community Cloud for self‑service collaboration, and Quip for shared documents—to centralize research, social listening, and project data. The platform collapsed silos, accelerated cross‑country learning, and freed staff to focus on mission‑critical work, enabling more efficient, coordinated interventions such as the non‑coercive relocation and recovery effort in Serra do Mar.
