A Salesforce Case Study
The Texas Department of Information Resources (Texas DIR) is the Lone Star State’s technology procurement and services arm, helping state, education, and local agencies bring modern IT into the public sector. Faced with a largely paper-based, time-consuming procurement process that slowed contracts and wasted resources, DIR needed to modernize workflows, improve vendor transparency, and reduce the cost and complexity of buying technology for government missions.
DIR built BidStamp on the Salesforce Lightning Platform: a Community Cloud vendor portal for registrations and proposal uploads, digital scorecards to standardize evaluations, and APIs to integrate with SharePoint, FedBizOps and legacy systems. The result: shorter solicitation-to-award cycles, fewer manual steps, reduced data duplication, and a platform that enabled rapid, low-cost app development—spawning 25+ statewide projects, empowering non‑IT admins to build solutions, and locking down costs while expanding technology value.
