Case Study: PUMA boosts mobile performance and conversion with Salesforce Commerce Cloud

A Salesforce Case Study

Preview of the Puma Case Study

PUMA leverages the power of Salesforce to relaunch its mobile sites and speed past customer expectations

Puma, a global athletic brand, faced the challenge that while mobile devices generated the vast majority of its web traffic, this was not translating into conversions. Its existing mobile sites were not optimized for a seamless shopping experience and struggled to handle high volumes of traffic during major product launches. To address this, Puma partnered with Salesforce to leverage its Commerce Cloud Storefront Reference Architecture.

Salesforce's solution provided a mobile-first platform that enabled Puma to rebuild its sites for multiple countries, currencies, and languages. The implementation resulted in sites that rendered 35% faster and fully loaded 69% faster, leading to a significant increase in conversion rate from less than 1% to nearly 1.5%. The platform's scalability also ensured the site remained stable during massive traffic spikes, turning previously disruptive product launches into non-events.
