Porter is an on-demand logistics marketplace in India that connects customers with trucks and tempos for intra-city pickup and delivery. As the company scaled rapidly after 2014—serving over a million customers and onboarding 40,000 driver‑partners—it faced inefficiencies in bookings, lead conversion and driver onboarding and wanted to free its engineering team to focus on core product innovation.
Porter adopted Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and platform services) to centralize customer data, automate workflows and provide a 360° view of customers. The change cut lead conversion from about 20 days to 3–4 days (an ~80% decrease), reduced driver onboarding from six hours to 45 minutes, improved case resolution through omni‑channel support, enabled mass verification of 15,000 photos/month, and delivered better attribution and reporting to drive further growth.
