A Salesforce Case Study
PacSun, a lifestyle apparel retailer focused on 17–24-year-olds, needed to meet a generation that discovers, researches and buys fashion primarily through social media. Its legacy ecommerce platform was heavily customized, slow to upgrade, and couldn’t deliver the seamless, trend-driven shopping experience shoppers expect across channels. The challenge was to connect social discovery with commerce and keep the site and stores responsive to fast-changing trends.
PacSun migrated to Salesforce B2C Commerce (Commerce Cloud) and integrated Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Tumblr, plus mobile-optimized lookbooks, personalized promotions and an international checkout. The retailer also equipped stores with iPads and a dedicated associate site to support omnichannel selling. The result: millions of social interactions, improved brand awareness and affinity, measurable increases in store footfalls and website traffic, and a more nimble, continuously updated ecommerce experience.
