Icebreaker, a New Zealand–founded maker of merino wool apparel sold in over 5,000 stores across 50 countries, needed smarter, more integrated personalization to surface relevant products for shoppers. Already using a third‑party recommendation engine, the brand wanted a solution that predicted and adapted to customer preferences across the entire shopping journey without complex external integrations.
Icebreaker A/B tested Commerce Cloud Einstein Product Recommendations and switched after two weeks when Einstein drove 40% more clicks on recommended items, 28% more revenue from those recommendations, and an 11% lift in average order value. The fully integrated, real‑time recommendation models were easy to set up and edit, delivered cost and performance benefits, and have since been rolled out across all six of Icebreaker’s global sites.
