Community connections help veterans come home

IAVA (Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America) is the largest organization serving veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, focused on helping a generation that is small in number and often isolated reintegrate into civilian life. The organization needed fast, scalable online tools to rebuild community connections, link vets to jobs and services, and make it easy for returning service members to access support.

Using the Salesforce Platform, IAVA launched the Rucksack rewards program in six weeks to connect veterans with tickets, interview clothing, education and employment opportunities, and community events. The solution increased IAVA’s capacity five-fold, added more than 38,000 new members, attracted 75+ company requests to join its 100+ partners, and enabled better member engagement, automated operations, and plans for a unified member portal.
