The City of Boston needed a better way to manage complex services for residents and local businesses—everything from helping entrepreneurs start companies to financing and overseeing affordable housing projects. Staff previously juggled multiple agencies and paperwork to track hundreds of thousands of relationships, slowing responses and hindering transparency.
Boston built the Boston Business Hub on the Salesforce Platform and rolled Salesforce out across its Department of Neighborhood Development, including the Salesforce1 Mobile App. The result: a single point of entry for entrepreneurs, faster city responses (often within a day), streamlined processes and less paperwork, improved project tracking and collaboration in the field, and more time devoted to delivering value to neighborhoods.
