Ashray Akruti brings hope to the hearing impaired with Salesforce

Ashray Akruti is an Indian NGO founded in 1996 by D.P.K. Babu that provides education, rehabilitation, mobile neonatal hearing screening and job training for the hearing impaired, serving some 50,000–60,000 people a year. Growth was hampered by scattered spreadsheets and paper records, slow manual field data entry, limited donor visibility and no reliable way to track donor churn or plan supplies and fundraising.

The NGO implemented Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (with Pardot) and mobile CRM on iPads to centralise donor, student and patient data, automate communications and generate real‑time reports. As a result Ashray Akruti cut field data entry time dramatically, scaled operations without adding headcount, strengthened donor engagement and transparency, and saw donations increase threefold since 2015—while enabling wider outreach and better employment outcomes for graduates.
