Algonquin College, a public institution in Canada’s capital, faced a demographic shift and rising competition as high school graduate numbers declined. To stay competitive and modernize recruitment, the college embarked on a campus-wide digital transformation and adopted Salesforce to rethink how it finds and engages prospective students.
Using Salesforce, Algonquin automated lead capture from its website and social channels, added lead scoring and targeted communications, and built a custom iPad app for in‑field recruiting; it also deployed Marketing Cloud, Chatter, Service Cloud, Knowledge, Communities and App Cloud across departments. Within the first year, lead generation rose 23%, collateral fulfillment time fell by over 50%, and recruiter productivity tripled, while the college created a seamless experience from first contact through graduation.
