Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta is a cooperative lender that helps banks, credit unions and other financial institutions fund local communities across seven states and D.C. After the 2008 crisis the Bank needed to rebuild trust and compete for members’ business, but its customer information was scattered across legacy systems and people were often on the road—making it hard to deliver timely, coordinated, expert service.
Working with IT, the Bank implemented a cloud-based CRM on Salesforce (Sales, Service and Marketing Clouds) that consolidates member profiles, maps to the data warehouse, enables real-time collaboration and provides mobile access. The change cut a six-month letters-of-credit process to three–four weeks, sped loan confirmations and project starts, eliminated paper-heavy prep work, and gave customer-facing teams a unified, data-driven way to serve members and strengthen communities.
