Calamos Investments, a provider of research and content for financial advisors, faced a common digital challenge: their advisor portal contained extensive resources but struggled to keep individual advisors engaged and returning. The team needed to deliver timely, relevant information on a 1-to-1 basis so advisors would rely on Calamos as their trusted source rather than other resources.
Calamos implemented Salesforce Marketing Cloud with Personalization Builder and Predictive Intelligence to serve real-time, behavior-driven content recommendations on the site and to power tailored email journeys (including a four-message welcome series and abandoned-browse triggers). The personalization effort drove double-digit increases in average page views, raised average time on page to six minutes (two minutes above industry standard), and helped fund pages become 65% of the site’s most popular content.
