NYX Cosmetics, a mass-market L’Oréal brand known for using real customers instead of professional models, faced the common beauty e‑commerce challenge: shoppers want to try on and evaluate colors and textures before buying, which is hard to replicate online. NYX solved this by crowdsourcing approved user‑generated content from its large social following and integrating it across its site and 12 digital‑display stores, using Olapic’s algorithms to surface images that drive sales.
