T-Mobile Adapted Their Identity Program

T‑Mobile, a global wireless provider that completed a merger with Sprint, faced the dual challenge of migrating off a legacy Oracle identity stack while ensuring users at stores and call centers had the right access on day one of the merger. The project required a flexible, scalable identity solution capable of handling complex authentication, authorization and entitlement needs amid legal and testing constraints.

T‑Mobile implemented a modern identity program using SailPoint (alongside Okta and a custom entitlement manager), automated and centralized user provisioning, and devised creative testing and integration approaches with Sprint. The result: the Oracle IAM suite was retired, provisioning became automated and adaptable to changing business needs, and the companies achieved a seamless day‑one experience for end users.
