SCL Tigers AG, a Swiss professional ice‑hockey club with a nationwide following, faced growing data management problems as it relied on error‑prone spreadsheets and disparate software to track fans, members, sponsors, teams and youth players. The club needed a standardised, accessible and easy‑to‑use database that would enable versatile data evaluation across marketing, operations and administration.
SCL Tigers implemented web‑based Sage CRM, including a customised “Scouting” feature to track player careers and potential, and integrated it with existing Sage 200 finance systems. The solution standardized data across departments, eliminated duplication, increased efficiency, freed up resources, improved cost control and paved the way for a webshop rollout.
