A Sage CRM Case Study
Cortland Savings and Banking Company, a 12-branch community bank in Ohio with about 175 staff and a database of over 50,000 prospects and customers, struggled with a legacy CRM that produced duplicate records, poor data quality and limited reporting. These issues made it hard to track multi-product relationships, identify cross-sell opportunities and monitor loan covenants, constraining growth and compliance efforts.
With guidance from Cat Consulting, Cortland deployed Sage CRM (40 users) integrated with Outlook and its core banking system to create a single, searchable client repository with unique IDs and automated workflows. The rollout eliminated duplicates, delivered real-time dashboards and powerful reporting, enabled secure mobile access for lenders, extended CRM use across retail, commercial, mortgage and wealth teams, and improved opportunity management, risk monitoring and regulatory compliance.
