Verbatim Australia, part of the global Verbatim data‑storage group, needed a more flexible, scalable IT platform as it expanded across the Asia‑Pacific region into India and China. Its legacy mainframe could not support growing product lines, standardised processes or improved internal communications and reporting, so the company sought a solution to reduce complexity and ensure consistency across multiple offices.
Verbatim adopted a staged implementation of Sage CRM and Sage 300 ERP together with a data‑warehouse, using CRM to improve communications, accountability and escalation workflows. The changes delivered greater productivity and standardisation (with efficiency gains of around 30% in many areas), more accurate reporting and analysis, and a 24‑hour virtual support capability that helped the business scale reliably across regions.
