A RWS Case Study
Xiaomi grew from a China-focused startup to a global consumer electronics leader operating in 100+ markets and localizing content into 70+ languages, producing roughly 10 million words a year. Rapid product expansion and decentralized, manual content workflows led to duplicated work, inconsistent terminology, regulatory risk and slow turnaround for websites, user guides and marketing materials.
Xiaomi created a Content Management Office and partnered with RWS to deploy Tridion Docs (CCMS), WorldServer (TMS) and Trados Studio (CAT), integrated with its WCMS to automate end-to-end content creation, translation and publishing. The result: 70% faster web product localization (saving about 2,000 work days per year), 75% faster PDF publishing to country sites, better translation consistency through centralized translation memory and termbases, and the ability to scale global content operations with fewer people and lower cost.
