WHILL Achieves Global Launches with SDL Language Services
WHILL is a San Carlos–based manufacturer of intelligent personal electric vehicles that help people with mobility challenges move comfortably and confidently. Facing slow response times, inconsistent quality of translations and desktop publishing, and limited internal resources, WHILL needed high‑quality translations, well‑formatted localized output, fast turnaround and affordable pricing.
After a competitive tender WHILL selected SDL for its ability to deliver accurate translations and fully formatted localized deliverables quickly. With SDL’s services WHILL met global launch deadlines, completed 13 English‑to‑Italian projects on schedule, saw a marked improvement in translation and formatting quality, established a terminology glossary for consistency, and freed internal staff to focus on source content while planning further localization into German, French and Taiwanese (Traditional Chinese).
