Case Study: CAS Software AG achieves faster, more consistent software localization with RWS (SDL Passolo)

A RWS Case Study

Preview of the CAS Software Case Study

The CRM solutions specialist relies on SDL Passolo when localizing its software

CAS Software AG is a Karlsruhe-based CRM specialist for small and medium-sized enterprises with around 300,000 users in 40 countries. As demand grew for multi-language versions, the company struggled with a manual, error-prone localization process: translations were entered by hand, there was no centralized glossary or context for translators, and consistency, quality and turnaround times could not meet increasingly short release cycles.

CAS adopted SDL Passolo in 2002 and now manages about 90 projects on a centralized Passolo server that supports all common file formats. Automated project generation, pre-translation, glossaries and in-context editing have boosted translation quality and consistency, reduced translation volumes and costs (with 50–60% reuse on new products), and enabled fast, reliable updates aligned with the company’s three-week release cycle.
