Telegraph Media Group (TMG), a leading UK multimedia publisher, faced a fragmented customer-data problem: millions of readers generated information across 120 different sources and 14 business units, making it hard to target subscribers with relevant, timely marketing. The company needed a single customer view and deeper analytics to enable personalized acquisition, retention and cross-sell strategies.
TMG partnered with CACI and implemented SDL Campaigns’ data-management platform to consolidate 20 databases into one view and apply granular analytics. The solution powers about 300 campaigns a month (25 million emails), speeds data queries by roughly 50%, yields average email open rates of 26% (some over 50%), and delivered an overall 6% lift in response rates while enabling precise profiling and one-to-one targeting.
