A RWS Case Study
Emirates, the global premium airline, needed to manage a vast, multilingual digital footprint—168 regional websites in 28 languages—while preserving a consistent brand tone and regional relevance. The challenge was to centralize control and publishing across global teams, enable non-technical users to update content, and handle large volumes of translation and localization (including complex double‑byte languages) without sacrificing speed or quality.
Emirates implemented Tridion Sites with WorldServer, adopting a headless, cloud‑hosted (AWS) architecture and BluePrinting workflows to centralize content, leverage translation memory (1.8M English words added with only 260k new translations), and enable component-level publishing and personalization (e.g., region‑specific mastheads, content hiding). The result was faster, more efficient publishing (about 20,000 jobs/day, 20 ms page render), improved SEO and media delivery, seamless booking‑engine integration, broader rollout across Emirates brands, and a scalable, cost‑effective platform that delivers consistent, localized customer experiences.
