Its Technical Communications team faced rising demand for deliverables and needed greater content reuse, consistency and the ability to publish the same content in multiple formats (PDF, online help, HTML, mobile), with a priority on achieving ROI through reuse and operational efficiency.
After evaluating options, Life Technologies implemented SDL Tridion Docs and XML/DITA standards to create modular, reusable topics and tagged content. A core team of internal advocates rolled out the system, improving reuse, content consistency and publishing across multiple formats (PDF and online help now, mobile planned), while streamlining the content lifecycle and positioning the company to lower development and localization costs.
