LearnUpon localizes its user interface into nine new languages in three months

LearnUpon, a Dublin-based provider of a leading learning management system used by organizations from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, faced slow, low-quality UI localizations that were frustrating customers and hindering international growth. Their previous vendor delivered translations slowly and inconsistently, quotes and communications were delayed, and an ad hoc process relying on spreadsheets and emails led to errors and customer complaints.

Partnering with RWS and adopting Trados Enterprise, LearnUpon moved to a managed, tech-enabled localization workflow and began translating nine new platform languages in three months. The result: LearnUpon now offers 23 platform languages, cut time-to-market for new languages by about 50%, drastically reduced translation complaints, streamlined quoting and file exchange, and established a regular quarterly localization cycle of 80K–90K words.
