A RWS Case Study
Kramp, a Netherlands–based wholesaler of agricultural, landscaping and forestry spare parts, built an early multilingual eCommerce catalog to serve customers across Europe but faced a growing translation bottleneck. With product updates coming from five source languages, 25 content creators and two description formats with strict length limits, Kramp needed a scalable, fast and cost‑effective way to deliver accurate product information in 11 target languages to support its goal of expanding sellable items and avoid lost sales from translation delays.
Kramp partnered with SDL to implement a centralized, automated workflow using German as a pivot language, SDL Trados and enriched translation memories and preview tools. The solution automated daily exports/imports, ensured consistency and respected length constraints, and enabled high TM reuse—reducing translation costs by more than half, delivering translations in about three days on average, launching the site in 11 languages, and improving turnaround and quality for a better global customer experience.
